Stay on the Path
You’re traveling, footstep by footstep, on a straight and narrow path. The sun is bright with its’ rays beaming down to warm your soul. The sky, evidence of God’s everlasting majesty lights your way, illuminating your beautiful spirit-filled day.
You have a song in your heart to praise the Lord. Your delight is in the Lord. This is the path that leads to eternal life.
As you’re walking suddenly you’re met by and faced with fear, doubt, confusion, worry, trials, persecution and suffering; you’re scared and unsure – these obstacles have stilled your steps, you’re shaking as fear quickly grips you. Darkness surrounds you and you’re ready to step off of your path; DON’T DO IT.
The darkness that surrounds you has covered your eyes; it is a divine plan designed exclusively for you with one goal in mind; one of the most important goals that is a “must” for you to accomplish; being conformed to the likeness of Jesus Christ.
As the clouds cover your footsteps and as the darkness slowly encompasses you, you begin to fell the need to call on the only Name that has Power, Jesus Christ, Savior of the World. It’s fine; call on Him; He’s waiting for you to call on Him. Go to Him in prayer. Talk to Him. Tell Him about your fears and worries. Take your burdens to Him and leave them at the Throne of Grace where His Mercy is sufficient to provide and take care of all your needs no matter what they are. In the midst of your prayers, remember to give Him thanks for all that He does. Our God is an awesome God who deserves all the honor, all the glory and all the praise.
In an effort to escape from the unwelcomed, life altering obstacles, you do everything in your power to get back that feeling of euphoria you knew all too well before being attacked by who you believe is the Enemy. The very presence of these trials, even though you may not realize it right now, is an amazing and tremendous blessing. You do not have to succumb to the snares of the Enemy. Commit your life to the Lord. Surrender everything to Him. Trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass.
When trials come to plague you listen to God Almighty Who Art in Heaven; go to His Word to receive instruction during these hardships; read and meditate upon His Word and watch your relationship with Him blossom and watch your life take on a whole new meaning. Receive, live and apply His Word to your life; you’ll be glad you did!!!
